Genshin Impact: Irodori Festival Complete Guide

Genshin Impact - Zephyr of the Violet Garden

The highlight of Genshin Impact 2.6 is the Hues of the Violet Garden event. But in the game, it’s also known as the Irodori Festival which takes place in Inazuma. In this complete guide, we’ll map out everything about the Irodori Festival in Genshin Impact.

How to unlock Irodori Festival

This event takes place in Inazuma so if the region is still inaccessible to you, you can’t participate in the event. After its launch on April 7, 2022, travelers who have finished Inazuma’s Act 1 Archon Quest can take part in the festival. To check if you meet the requirement, head over to the Events tab and open the Hues of the Violet Garden page.

Finish the following quests for better understanding of the storyline

Since the festival features characters from Mondstadt and Liyue coming to Inazuma, it’s recommended you finish the following quests. If you decide to start the festival while not finishing some story quests, you might be confused with the story.

  • Cypressus Custos Act 1
  • Imperatrix Umbrosa Act 2
  • Dracaena Somnolenta Act 1

Irodori Festival Sub-events

The Moon and Stars Inscribed

Genshin Impact - The Moon and Stars Inscribed

This is one of the first sub-events to unlock in Irodori Festival. You will take themed photos for two poets so they can finish their pieces.

To begin this sub-event, talk to Ootomo & Lenne. Afterward, they will give you themes of photos you need to take. Once you successfully take the required photo, you can collect your rewards from the Event page.

Theater Mechanicus

Genshin Impact - Theater Mechanicus

If you’re wondering if this is the same sub-event that was available during the Lantern Rite, then you’re not wrong. Theater Mechanicus makes a comeback during the Irodori Festival. This sub-event is a tower-defense style mini-game where you need to defend against mobs of enemies. After successfully doing so, you’ll be rewarded with Primogems and more.

To play Theater Mechanicus, talk to Komakata who will brief you about the mini-game. Then, you can try your hand at strategizing against enemies.

Clash of Lone Blades

Genshin Impact - Clash of Lone Blades

Time to test your skills as a true warrior in this new sub-event. Here, you are unable to use your Elemental Skills and Bursts as you go one-on-one against different warriors. You can only rely on dodging, parrying, and normal attacks for this one.

To begin this event, head to the warrior and select the level of the enemy you wish to duel with. Then, get ready to dodge, parry, and attack for your life to prove that you are worthy of the sword.

Floral Courtyard (Ikebana-Flower Arranging Event)

Genshin Impact - Floral Courtyard

This sub-event is similar to the Dreams of Bloom event which took place back in November 2021. In this sub-event, you need to build flower bouquets in order to obtain the rewards. Additionally, you can bring the flower courtyard you created into your Serenitea Pot.

To begin this event, talk to Fushizome who will give you the requirements for whatever Flower Courtyard is required. After successfully arranging the Flower Courtyard according to the given theme, you obtain rewards.

Irodori Festival Main Quests

Like we mentioned earlier, different characters from all over Teyvat participate in the Irodori Festival. But the biggest reward travelers can get during this event is four-star Hydro character, Xingqiu. He can be invited once you complete the “Friendship In Writing” quest.

Other main quests included in Irodori Festival are:
  • A Story For You
  • About That Time We Saved the Tanuki Photo Board
  • Buyer’s Guide to the Statue of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder
  • Pen Pals, Book Reviews, and the Super Lucky General
