It has been half a month since Genshin Impact 2.1 update was released and now it’s time for the release of some highly anticipated characters. One of such characters is Sangonomiya Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. She is a 5-star Hydro catalyst character who had many non-playable appearances in the game. But it’ll finally release soon, and we’ll tell you exactly when below.
Kokomi Release Date
Fans have been waiting for Kokomi to become a playable character for a long time and their patience is finally going to be rewarded. Kokomi banner is all set to debut on 21st September 2021, which is exactly next week! It will go live sharp at 6:00 pm UTC+8 and will remain live till 12th October 2021, 2:59 pm UTC+8.
Kokomi Skills and Abilities
Kokomi boasts powerful control over water to destroy her foes and protect the team. She is also an exceptional healer, and her abilities provide tons of health boosts to her party. Let’s take a look at them:
- Normal Attack – Kokomi strikes in the shape of a fish three times in a row and deals hydro damage to any enemies it hits.
- Charged Attack – She unleashes a blast of water that damages enemies in the area after a short period of time. Remember, this ability consumes Stamina each time it is used.
- Plunge Attack – Kokomi rushes to the ground, impregnating all enemies in his path with the hydro element. When it lands, the impact deals significant hydro damage in the area to all nearby enemies.
- Oath of Kurage – She summons Bake-Kurage from the water, healing nearby allies in intervals. This also deals hydro damage to nearby enemies based on their maximum health.
- Kaijin Ceremony – This is Kokomi’s Elemental burst in which she summons Watatsumi, dealing hydro damage to all enemies in the area. Also, in the animation, you can see Kokomi changing her wardrobe to a ceremonial garment made from the water that flows in Sangonomiya.
Kokomi Signature Weapon
Her signature weapon has been leaked as well, and it will be called the Fumetsu Gekka/ Everlasting Moonglow. The name of the weapon might change but its stats have been revealed in the leaks and are as follows:
- The Everlasting Moonglow has a 46 Base ATK and a 10% HP sub-stat at Refinement Rank 1 and Lv.1.
- Its passive provides a healing bonus, and buffs the ATK DMG based on the character’s HP.
- Also, it helps a little in energy regeneration
- It boasts a mammoth 609 Base ATK and 49.6% HP sub-stat at Lv. 90 and Refinement Rank 5.
- The healing bonus received while using it also increases to 20%, and the ATK boost is 3% of the character’s HP.
Kokomi is all set to be a useful character in Genshin Impact which you might want to use in your team. Her attack damage might not be as high as some other 5-star characters, but she is a very potent healer and can greatly help your team.
