Recent leaks from credible Genshin Impact data miners claim that a new character is coming to the game soon. Here’s what we know so far about Su possibly arriving in Genshin Impact soon.
Su’s arrival in Genshin Impact will mark the second time HoYoverse took inspiration from Honkai Impact 3rd characters
For non-readers of the Honkai Impact 3rd manga, Su may be an unfamiliar face and name. However, Su is actually from the universe where Honkai Impact 3rd takes place. So if he is set to arrive in Genshin Impact, then we may get our second crossover from HoYoverse.
Previously, it was Fischl who arrived in the universe of Honkai. However, the crossover was not at all significant to the storyline of the game. But with the information provided by the data miners, Su may be an important figure in the upcoming region, Sumeru.
However, his arrival to Genshin Impact does not mean he exists in both Honkai and Genshin’s universe. Similar to other characters like the Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko, Su will most probably be an “Expy”. This means that the character is “exported” from Honkai and brought into Genshin Impact.

Leaks claim that Su will be able to control the Dendro element
More details revealed by the leaks claim that Su will be a Dendro character in Genshin Impact. But aside from that, Su has an important role in Sumeru. According to the leaks, he will also have a close relationship with the Dendro Archon.
However, there is not much information about the upcoming region’s Archon. What we do know so far about this Archon is she is called Lesser Lord Kusanali.
As of writing, most images shared on social media showing Su’s character design have been taken down. At first, credible leakers were quiet about the entire Su situation happening on Twitter and Reddit. But in recent tweets, these known leakers confirm that the character design of Su was legitimate.
However, some of the leakers put out a disclaimer that they were “not involved nor do we condone its release”.

The character will apparently not be “playable”
But contrary to discussions about Su, leaker UBatcha clarified that he may not be playable in Version 3.0. Additionally, they also clarify that the character’s name will not be “Su”. This further proves that the character will be an Expy like Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun.
Nonetheless, we still have our hopes up that this character will be playable in future updates. It’s unlikely that Genshin will give him a banner once the Version 3.0 update drops.
For a while now, there have already been talks about the upcoming Dendro characters in the game. One of these is Collei, a Dendro character who appears mainly in the manga for Genshin Impact.
So if “Su” does become playable, we’ll have to wait for a while for him to release.
Genshin Impact 3.0 will most likely come after 2.8
Other leaks claim that Inazuma’s final chapter in the Genshin Impact storyline is in version 2.8. Moreover, the banners in Genshin Impact 2.8 will apparently feature Kaedehara Kazuha (first re-run) and the official arrival of Shikanoin Heizou to the game.
As for Version 3.0, many leakers share that this patch will finally open up Sumeru to excited Travelers.
But as always, take all this information with a grain of salt. We just have to look out for official announcements from HoYoverse about the region of Sumeru and the upcoming characters.
