PlayStation has released a new teaser outlining some of the new features and upgrades coming to God of War. As well as a system requirement list for the updated edition.

God of War on PC will run at unlocked framerates and native 4K resolutions, ensuring a fluid gaming experience. High-res shadows, better screen-space reflections, and support for NVIDIA DLSS will all be available to the graphics. This provides users of the RTX series cards with sharper, upscaled images and a speed gain.

NVIDIA Reflex reduced latency technology is also supported in the game, helping players to respond faster and perform stronger combos. God of War, like previous PlayStation releases, supports 21:9 ultra-widescreen, ensuring a high-quality cinematic experience as you trek across the Norse kingdoms. The game has support for a variety of gamepads as well as completely adjustable mouse and keyboard keybindings.

  • Sony also revealed a spec sheet for the PC version, revealing that 70 GB of storage space is required. You’ll need a second-generation Intel Core i5 processor and an NVIDIA GTX 980 or comparable to play God of War on the lowest settings (720p 30fps).
  • Meanwhile, an Intel i9-9900k processor and an RTX 3080 graphics card are pre-requisites to operate it at the top, extreme settings (4K 60fps). Sony also suggests installing the game on a solid-state drive to ensure that the stages and textures load quickly.

Following the events of God of War III, the 2018 sequel introduces us to a more reclusive Kratos, who continues to live in the Norse realm — ancient Scandinavia. Kratos and his son Atreus must embark on a voyage to scatter Faye’s ashes.

Beginning January 14, 2022, God of War will be accessible for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
