The Announcement

During today’s PlayStation Showcase, we got an official sneak peek at God of War Ragnarok. Have a look at this hype-worthy trailer now!

God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled to be released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. God of War sequel is an action-adventure game currently in development by Santa Monica Studio and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Gameplay and Storyline Details

This extended look provided us with almost everything we were hoping to see including a hint at storyline, incredible graphics, and return of favorite characters. The game will see first of a kind crossover of Greek mythology with Norse mythology. This is an incredible news for gaming as well as Marvel fans.

“While the last game built an enormous amount of trust and understanding between father and son, there is still a great deal of complexity in their interactions – especially after the revelation of Atreus’ Giant heritage and the hidden prophecy only Kratos saw”, said Grace Orlady, the Sr. Community Manager at Santa Monica Studio.

Kratos is seen making avid attempts to equip Atreus for the worst that is expected to come. Odin was introduced in the Livestream tonight with just a mention of his name. It is evident that Odin, Norse God, is intermingled with Ragnarok. A war with the Nordic planet of Asgard was also mentioned. Apart from this, we also heard the mention of Loki, the god of mischief and fans expect Thor to make an appearance as well.

Now the wait is to see how the full story and experience turns out to be.
