At this point, many of us are tired of repeating how great a game God of War is, as all of you already know that. The hype around it is so huge that people from all walks of life try to be a part of this phenomenon. There used to be a time when games promoted themselves using celebrities. Now it seems like celebs use games like God of War to become the talking point of the day. Such is also the case with WWE’s Tommaso Ciampa.

Kratos at WWE

WWE just held its NXT Halloween Havoc special episode and God of War’s Kratos decided to make an appearance there. Tommaso Whitney, an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, unleashed the Spartan within him. He dressed up as Kratos in blue and drove the audience nuts. He performs under the ring name Tommaso Ciampa and is the current NXT Champion in his second reign.

Ciampa flaunted a full costume with shoulder armor, hand wraps, and a leather loincloth and matched the look of Kratos from the popular game. WWE NXT took to Twitter to share the picture of Ciampa in his Kratos costume which closely resembled the character. A noticeable difference was the blue-colored paint he chose instead of Kratos’ red Omega symbol.

That being said, he pretty much nailed the get-up, but not as amazing as many cosplayers have done before. Kratos is one of the top choices for cosplayers especially during Halloween and we have seen many jaws dropping Kratos costumes. Ciampa’s version lacked the iconic pale white skin Kratos has owing to the curse. Cosplayers usually put on a lot of white paint or powder to nail that look. Anyways, it was a worthy attempt and got everyone’s attention.

Now it remains to be seen what records it breaks for PC sales.

This year, PlayStation Showcase, God of War: Ragnarok (its sequel) was revealed to be released in early 2022. The extended look provided us with almost everything we were hoping to see including a hint at storyline, incredible graphics, and return of favorite characters. The game will see first of a kind crossover of Greek mythology with Norse mythology. This is incredible news for gaming as well as Marvel fans.

One thing’s for sure, 2022 is destined to be a great year for gamers, especially God of War fans.
