The Golden Joystick Awards 2021 took place on the 23rd of November. A tradition in the gaming scene, the awards event allows players to recognize skill and talent in the industry. It enables a chance for gamers to nominate their own favorite games across different awards categories. This year, two new special categories were also introduced: Ultimate Game of All Time and Best Gaming Hardware of All Time.

Overall, Resident Evil Village has been the most performing game in the awards, taking home 4 Golden Joystick awards in total.

  • PC Game of the Year – Hitman 3
  • Nintendo Game of the Year – Metroid Dread
  • Xbox Game of the Year – Psychonauts 2
  • PlayStation Game of the Year – Resident Evil Village
  • Most Wanted Game – Elden Ring
  • Critics Choice Award – Deathloop
  • Ultimate Game of the Year – Resident Evil Village
  • Ultimate Hardware of All Time – PC
  • Ultimate Game of All Time – Dark Souls

Several new games have won over players, claiming their awards respectively. With this year’s Golden Joystick Awards being done, we still have the Steam Awards winners to look forward to.

The Steam Awards has a total of 10 categories, for which players can nominate any game that was released in 2021. Payers will also receive the Steam Awards Nomination Committee badge on their profile.
