The news of Guillermo del Toro working to assemble a cast for live-action Frankenstein comes as a surprise. Previously, the Oscar-winning director had revealed his doubts about the movie ever coming into reality.

In a 2019 interview at Tribeca Film Festival, the filmmaker particularly shared his doubts stating that as per his beliefs, Frankenstein might not be as bonkers as his usual films for him to adapt.

However, Deadline’s new update regarding the film’s casting has sparked new hopes for the Netflix live-action adaption.

Andrew Garfield recently worked on the Hulu miniseries ‘Under The Banner of Heaven,’ made a cameo in ‘Spiderman: No Way Home,’ and also received an Oscar nomination for Netflix’s ‘Tick, Tick… Boom.’

Mia Goth is strengthening her expertise in the horror genre with Ti West’s X trilogy including ‘X’, ‘Pearl,’ and ‘MaXXXine.’ Moreover, she starred in ‘Infinite Pool’ released at Sundance.
