Free-to-Play Battle Royale H1Z1 to Release on PS4 This May

Daybreak Game Company has decided to bring its free-to-play Battle Royale to the PS4. H1Z1 Producer, Terrence Yee confirmed this move.

Yee made the announcement in a blog post. He said they’ll port H1Z1 to the PS4 as a free-to-play game, just like its PC counterpart.

Yee said, “Battle Royale should be about the adrenaline rush you get from being one of the last few remaining”.

To ensure that an equating experience is provided, they have added a ton of additional content.

Daybreak is ready to implement more guns, vehicles, weapons and an improved (streamlined) UI. Also, we can expect familiar console controls and faster matches to keep us enticed.

Additionally, in-match power progressions will force the players to make strategic decisions for victory. Airdrops will drop in masses more frequently now.

Also, the players will have to compete over them in order to obtain better gear.

This includes six new guns: the KH43, Marauder, MK46, Combat Shotgun, CNQ-09 and Scout Rifle as mentioned in the original post.

The gas, which is dynamically based on the population, now moves faster to speed up the pace of the game, turning H1Z1 super-fast paced.

PUBG might not have made it to the Sony console, but it seems like H1Z1 has saved the day for PS4 players.
