Half-Life 3 is here, thanks to Giga Games & Spieletipps!
If you’re fond of gaming conventions and expos, you must have heard of Gamescom. At this year’s Gamescom, we saw a huge minimalist poster in orange that seems to advertise Half-Life 3. But it’s not what you’re thinking of.
The orange poster is not an ad for Half-Life: 3. Instead, it is an ad for two German gaming websites, Giga Games and Spieletipps. The poster simply boasts three editors that played Half-Life back then when it was released.
When translated to English, the ad says “Half-Life: 3 editors who played it back then.” It is a clever trick that will surely manage to gain attention amidst legit advertisements for games like Dishonored 2 and Titanfall 2.
Gamescom begins today and will run till August 21. Polygon says “We’ll update if Spieletipps or Giga Games takes us inside the joke”, and we’re ready to hear it.
