Hogwarts Legacy Could Be Multiplayer

According to a recent rumor, Hogwarts Legacy could have multiplayer features and be launched in the second half of 2022. The game, which will not have JK Rowling’s involvement, was one of the glaring omissions at E3 2021. Hopefully, we’ll get a reveal in PlayStation’s upcoming State of Play. Its release was originally scheduled for 2021 but it was postponed at the start of the year to give the team more time to polish specific areas.

The Hogwarts Legacy release window is planned for the second half of 2022, according to the leaker known as AccNGT, who gave preview material on Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse before its official unveiling at The Game Awards 2021.

  • The title’s developers appear to be concentrating on writing some smaller aspects of the game at the moment, thus the major plot should be established by now.
  • The same source, on the other hand, guarantees that the game will include multiplayer capabilities, but it’s likely that these will be added via a post-launch update. Don’t set off the alarms, because the leaker doesn’t believe the title is about the problematic games-as-a-service business.

JK Rowling and The Controversy

Last year’s unveiling was tainted by discrimination remarks by the saga’s author, JK Rowling. Warner Bros. opts to choose for “careful” advertising of the game this time. In addition, also by the developer’s decision to halt production owing to additional remarks on YouTube.

“J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game, however, her extraordinary body of writing is the foundation of all projects in the Wizarding World. This is not a new story from J.K. Rowling.”
