The Korean Entertainment industry is shocked by the latest updates related to Lee Sun Kyun’s drug probe. Just a week ago, Korean news outlets revealed that the Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Incheon Metropolitan Police is investigating eight individuals under suspicion of illegal drug use at Tenpro.
Among the eight individuals is the globally acclaimed actor Lee Sun Kyun (Parasite and My Mister), ex-idol trainee Han Seo Hee, and conglomerate Hwang Ha Na. As per the latest reports, the shadow of his illegal activities is longer than first thought. Read ahead to find out about their connection.
What’s the connection between Lee Sun Kyun and Han Seo Hee?
On October 23, Dispatch reported more details of Lee Sun Kyun‘s drug probe, including the identity of the informer. As per the media outlet, the manager of Tenpro, an adult entertainment venue in Gangnam, first mentioned Lee Sun Kyun. He alleged that the actor is a V.I.P. member of the club and is suspected to have years of experience in illegal drug usage.

Following this, the reports that Han Seo Hee is also involved in the suspected eight individuals came to the surface, raising the question of her involvement with Lee Sun Kyun. For the unversed, Han Seo Hee is a former K-pop Idol trainee who was previously indicted for various drug misdemeanors, including one in 2016 involving BIGBANG’s T.O.P and iKon’s B.I.
In April last year, she also admitted to working at Tenpro and meeting YG Entertainment‘s Yang Hyun Suk at the venue during YGE founder’s special crime penalty violation’s first appeal trial.
Ever since the reports from Dispatch were published, speculations about Lee Sun Kyun’s involvement with Tenpro and Han Seo Hee have surfaced. Additionally, he is suspected of cheating on his wife, actress Jeon Hye Jin, and selling a building to pay his alleged drug dealer, who is blackmailing him.
Lee Sun Kyun’s statement about the allegations
The 48-year-old actor recently addressed the allegations through his legal representatives. He has firmly denied any connection between the building’s selling with the drug probe. Furthermore, he has refuted any involvement with Han Seo Hee and the 3rd gen chaebol Hwang Ha Na, who was previously investigated over JYJ’s Yoochun’s drug scandal.

The investigation of his alleged illegal drug use is still in progress. In the meantime, Lee Sun Kyun has walked out of his big screen project No Way Out. Additionally, his other projects, including a K-drama, have come to a standstill in light of the drug scandal.
