How many episodes will the anime have?
The anime is expected to have 11 episodes this season, just like the Entertainment District Arc. Though it is still not officially confirmed, this arc should be the same too.

In the Demon Slayer manga, the Swordsmith Village arc covers roughly 27 chapters. The Entertainment District arc had the same amount of chapters in it too. Thus we can expect that the anime adaption of the former will have the same of episodes, that is 11 episodes in it.
But even so, the fans are waiting for an official confirmation from Ufotable.
When is the official release date?
Season 3 of the Demon Slayer anime is officially named “To the Swordsmith Village Arc”. It will be released on April 9, 2023, as announced by the developers during an event. The first episode will be a 1-hour special.

But the fans can already watch the first episode through the premiere. The screenings began in Japan in February 2023, and contain the first episode along with the last episodes from the previous season, agglomerated into a movie. The screening in North America started in early March 2023.
The plot of the Swordsmith Village Arc
This arc is a comparatively short arc with only 27-28 chapters in Demon Slayer manga. The plot will begin with Tanjiro traveling to the Swordsmith Village to repair his sword. The location of the smiths is hidden due to secrecy, as the Nichirin are special blades for slaying demons. However, the demons have followed Tanjiro this far and have initiated the attack.
Two Upper moons, Hantengu and Gyokko are the prime antagonists of this arc. Tanjiro along with his friends, Mist Hashira Muichiro and Love Hashira Mitsuri have only one goal- to save the village from the demons and protect its legacy. The fans are looking forward to the outcome of this battle, and also the animation of the heavily anticipated Upper Moon Meeting.
