How many GTAs can we play in our Lifetime- Millennials

As gaming millennials get older, we tend to ask ourselves the question: How many GTAs can we play in our lifetime? Let’s find out by looking at how long people live on average, and how Rockstar releases GTA games.

Average Lifespan

Recent studies show that people around the world, on average, live about 73.4 years. Women tend to live a bit longer, around 76 years, while men have a life expectancy of about 70.8 years.

Rockstar’s GTA Release Patterns

Looking back, Rockstar tends to release major GTA games with big gaps in between. The latest one, GTA V, came out in 2013. When considering the passion of fans for Rockstar’s GTA and anticipating future releases, it’s likely that we’ll see more games after GTA 6. As we (sadly) get older, the curiosity about how many more GTAs we can play only intensifies.

The first-ever GTA release was in 1997 when I was just 6 years old, and I couldn’t play the game then. My first experience was playing GTA 2, and I remember the epic Top-Down Perspective, which I really enjoyed at that time.

A game-changer for me was GTA 3, which is my first-ever third-person. I used to play a lot when I was around 11 years old, playing with my Pentium II computer. Remember the cheat codes? I just roamed around the city, used “bangbangbang” or “gunsgunsguns” and played for hours without even starting any missions or side quests.

San Andreas and Vice City were also amazing experiences, in which different cultures and lifestyles were shown and put to life in those games. Lastly, GTA 5 was a mind-blowing game at the time of its release, widely enjoyed on consoles. Playing with three characters simultaneously was a fun and immersive experience, and I, myself, spent countless hours indulging in the game.

Wrapping up, if you make it to your 60s or 70s, after GTA 6, you might still get two to three more GTA games to play. Assuming we’re still healthy around that age, we could continue playing more games, or maybe just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching our children or grandkids play our favorite GTA.

Other Factors to Consider:

  1. Health: Eyesight and reflexes play a key role.
  2. Hardware Upgrades: Considerations for possible new technologies like GTA VR.
  3. Physical Limitations: Potential challenges for active gameplay as we age.
