India vs. West Indies 3rd ODI: Shreyas Iyer Missed Well Deserved Ton

The final and last ODI between India and West Indies is taking place in Ahmedabad. India is aiming to whitewash the visitors.

India has made some changes in their squad. The main player KL Rahul is included in the squad. However, Covid recovered Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer got a chance to play. Moreover, Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav also played.

India’s innings don’t start off well.  Alzarri Joseph strike in the 4th over and took two most crucial wickets in the same over i.e. Rohit and Virat. Then suddenly Dhawan also got caught by Jason Holder. India was at 42/3 at the end of the 10th over. However, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant didn’t give their wickets fast. A wonderful partnership was developed between them.

Iyer Got Missed Ton By Just 20 Runs

Shreyas Iyer got the first chance to play in the series and he showed his potential in the game. he played fabulous shots. He kept on scoring runs along with Pant.  They both made a partnership of 110 runs. Iyer was looking very confident with the bat. He smashed 9 fours. Unfortunately, he got out on 80 runs and missed a well-deserved ton by just 20 runs.

Deepak Chahar and Sundar kept on fighting. India got all out 265 which is a decent score. Now all eyes will be on India’s bowling unit. Will, they can restrict the West Indies batsmen from achieving the target or not. However, West Indies batsmen will not easily lose wickets as this is the last match of the ODI series.
