India vs. West Indies ODI Series; Comebacks and Debutant

The most exciting thrilling ODI series is coming within a few days. The West Indies team, the man in maroon, has arrived in India today. This will be a three-match ODI series between India and West Indies. The match will be held behind closed doors. The three ODIs at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium, from February 6.

After the clean sweep by the mighty South Africa team, India is all set to bounce back in this ODI series. The new Indian captain, Rohit Sharma has recovered from his hamstring injury and is now all fit to play. The deadliest duo of Rohit and Virat is going to make the fans crazy.

Comebacks and Debutant

There are some comebacks in the Indian ODI team. Kuldeep Yadav,  chinaman bowler, has made a comeback to the ODI squad. Kuldeep last played for India in Sri Lanka in July last year before going under the surgeon’s knife. Moreover to bring balance to the team Washington Sundar’s return is good news for the team.

Ravi Bishnoi, the leg-spinner, has earned his maiden India call-up for India. Bishnoi, the 21-year-old from Rajasthan, has made the cut by dint of his performance for the Punjab franchise in the IPL. Another spin-bowling all-rounder, Deepak Hooda, has made the ODI cut for the first time.

However, the two experienced bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been rested.

The ODI squad for India is as follows: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (Vice-captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan.

The ODI squad for West Indies: Kieron Pollard (Captain), Fabian Allen, Nkrumah Bonner, Darren, Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, Kemar Roach, Romario Shepherd, Odean Smith, Hayden Walsh Jr.
