The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday had announced the schedule for IPL 2022. The fans have to wait just a few weeks to enjoy the tournament. Chennai Super Kings, the dominators of IPL, have started their training in Surat with Dhoni having joined the squad there. The four-time IPL champions are looking to win their fifth title in the new season. So to practice well at the training camp they have picked a young bowler, Josh Little, from Ireland as their net bowler.

Josh Little is a fabulous and dangerous left-arm bowler of Ireland.

He made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2016. Little was named in Ireland’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Then he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Hong Kong on 5 September 2016. Little was just 16 years old at the time of his debut, making him the second-youngest to have played at that level, after Hong Kong’s Waqas Khan.

Little made his ODI debut in April 2019 against England.

  • Moreover, in September 2021, Little was named in Ireland’s provisional squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
  • In T20I, the 22-year old has represented his country 34 times and has taken 31 wickets at an economy rate of under 7.5.

Josh Little has the ability to swing the ball early on and at a quick speed as well. In death overs, he can also show some magical spells and limit the run-flow. With CSK having numerous talented batters and veterans in their ranks, Little can enhance his experience, which can be a major boost for the Irish team as well.
