Is “Ethics The Brand” Kyrie Irving’s new shoe partner?

Kyrie Irving seen wearing Ethics shoes

After Nike let go of Kyrie Irving as one of their feature athletes following racial controversies, the 30-year-old star may have found a new home. Last Saturday, people were quick to notice that Kyrie wore something different. Obviously, it’s not a Nike, and it definitely is not any other known basketball shoe brands like Puma, Adidas, Under Armour, and New Balance. It’s actually a shoe made by a company founded by an ex-NBA player called “Ethics the Brand”. Is Kyrie and Ethics making a shoe deal?

Kyrie Irving was spotted trying out a new shoe made by Ethics the Brand during pre-game workouts

Before their matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday, Kyrie Irving wanted to test a new pair of shoes made by a small company. During warmups, Irving was spotted hooping in a shoe made by Ethics the Brand.

Kyrie, who has a thigh injury, did not play in the game later on. However, the 8-time All-Star made history by finally not wearing any shoe made by Nike.

Will Kyrie make a deal with Ethics?

Last year, Nike parted ways with uncle Drew after an alleged antisemitic post. Since then, Kyrie Irving has been a sneaker free-agent and has not signed with any major basketball shoe brands as of now. He still wears shoes made by Nike during the game but tries to cover the logo as much as possible.

Although he’s putting a not-so-known brand on his feet, there’s no news if he’s going to make a deal with the company.

“Ethics The Brand” is not Kyrie Irving’s new shoe partner, as the NBA star has yet to announce any official partnership with that brand. While there have been rumors circulating online suggesting that Kyrie has partnered with “Ethics The Brand” for the release of a new shoe, there has been no confirmation from the athlete or the company itself. As Kyrie Irving is known for his outspokenness on social and political issues, it is possible that the company’s name, which implies a focus on ethical principles, has piqued the interest of his fans and followers. Nonetheless, until Kyrie or “Ethics The Brand” release any official statement, it remains unclear whether or not they have formed a partnership.

When asked why he wore the brand during warmups, Kyrie sad “he wanted to show him some love”. By him, he is referring to the founder of Ethics, Langston Galloway, who also played in the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks superstar did say “he is open for the possibility of wearing Ethics during game action” in the future.

How much does the Ethics lgTWO cost?

Thanks to K.I., the shoe brand is getting huge attention. Langston Galloway’s second signature shoe, the LG 2, is what Kyrie wore in the picture. Unfortunately, it’s out in released yet. It’s also not in their shop. But, the price could go from $120 tp $150, according to the price of LG 1.

What is Ethics The Brand?

The clothing and footwear brand Ethics was formed by former NBA player Langston Galloway. The company was established in January 2021 and at the same time released its first shoe, the lgONE. Basically, it’s new to the industry. But, Galloway wanted to make a shoe line that makes a story beyond just creative design. The brand is also called Ethics, which suggests ethical beliefs and principles for athletes. Hence probably why it caught the attention of Kyrie Irving.

Langston Galloway is a professional basketball player who has played for several NBA teams, including the New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, and Indiana Pacers. Today, he is playing in the G-League.
