Putting aside the contingent fact that he’s hot as f**k, the M.I 6 Fallout villain and Superman has been part of multiple rumors. One of them says that Henry Cavil is joining the MCU as Squadron Supreme leader Hyperion. With the recent D23 expo happening, how many of these rumors can we confirm?

There are a variety of rumors and leaks that confirm Henry Cavil’s participation in the MCU. Another rumor says that Henry Cavil is joining as Dr. Doom in the latest Fantastic Four installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Where are the leaks of Henry Cavil joining MCU coming from?
Like always, Marvel is pretty good at hiding things. Yet the more to hide, the more to unravel. Although most of the time the leaks come from a variety of sources on the internet, we have gathered a few that really strike the deal. A majority of the leaks have usually implied three things – a)Henry Cavil is joining the Mcu and b)Either he is playing Hyperion in Loki Season 2 or some other major villain or c)He is playing a major Fantastic Four character.
Although almost it’s an anonymous source on the internet sweeping away from the intelligent agents equivalent of the FBI that lurks within the Marvel company. (I am just making this up). This one time, we have Emmet Kennedy who was very confident in his tweet.

If this casting is any true, we may see more of these casts at the D23 Expo that was scheduled for 10th September. The reporter even challenged the D23 Expo, saying “Bring it on!” with a spirit resembling a Sparta.

Twitter is one, if not the most reliable source for Marvel leaks. Well of course nothing is valid or verified in the world of unverified deprived of blue ticked Twitter accounts. Heck, even some good blue tickers may fail in providing authentic reports, but we have plenty of Marvel leaks emanating from Twitter itself. If credit is given where due, we can speculate Henry Cavil joining the MCU through the following.
- A reporter named CineStealth Tweeted a month ago that the new cast in MCU will break the internet. This individual was also involved in Ms. Marvel leaks which came out true. In a world of leakers and spreaders, this fella might score the board.
- Youtuber Grace Randolph had earlier confirmed that Henry Cavil is sure to join the MCU. Yet when asked what character he will play, she was hesitant to say it will be Hyperion the Supreme Squadron. Yet she did imply all possibilities that Cavil was all set for either a Fantastic Four character or a major Loki Season 2 villain.
- She also said that he’s primarily rumored to Play Wonderman, a character who’s set for his own show on the Disney+ platform. Although these are rumors, Grace Randolph has been a relatively safer bet for those looking for MCU Leaks.

Redditors surfaced a possible mole from within the company whose friend had posted on Reddit. Apparently, the person working is a graphic designer and a marketing assistant and he told his friend certain amazing inside info. The 4chan random user said the following –
“Henry Cavill – He’s Hyperion, will be in Loki S2 with the squadron supreme working for Kang. probably in the post-credit scene of ant man 3”
Confirming The Rumors
The thing with leaks and rumors is that often time it’s difficult to confirm them. Yet what we can do is put the rumors together with the facts and see what contradicts and what doesn’t. The wild brute of rumors that foresaw its demise included the likes in which people said that Tom Cruise will make a special appearance as an alternate Iron Man.

What We Can Infer From Multiverse of Madness about Henry Cavil joining the MCU as Reed Richards in Fantastic Four

Such a thing didn’t Pan out in Dr. Strange’s Multiverse of Madness but what did pan out is John Krasinski. The Reed Richard’s multiverse variant actor joined the MCU as a multiverse, well, variant and was peeled like a carrot by the Scarlet Witch.
- Yet it is highly likely that given that Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness took Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter, one can assume the Reed Richard casting won’t change. Marvel likes to keep fans engaged. And fans don’t like to see one actor being cast but only to be shifted to someone else due to the reason that this is a different variant. Unless it’s a completely different goal like having a different character altogether like female Loki, Sylvie.
- Even if we follow a Fantastic Four story on the main Earth timeline, it is highly likely it’s going to be John Krasinski. So it’s very unlikely that Henry Cavil will play out Reed Richards, although always a possibility.
Is the 4chan leak authentic?
The thing about 4chan leaks is that you gotta take them with a grain of salt and lots of spinach. Although previously we had leaks of Maguire and Andrew joining in No Way Home which came out as an astounding yes. The 4chan isn’t completely off-radio, but it isn’t the most verifiable. For now, the 4chan post cannot be counted as a de-facto guarantee.
What About The Tweets?
The tweets tried to hint at a load of things. Almost every other reporter is saying something. While few say Henry Cavil will join as Hyperion, some say he’ll join as Richards, as Dr. Doom, or as Wonderman. But what they all do say is that Henry Cavil is joining the MCU.
The moderators of the subreddit MarvelStudiosSpoilers spoke against Emmet Kennedy’s tweet, countering it as unreliable.
What Was Confirmed at D23 Expo?
The only hope one has against the ocean of leaks that spread diversely is to have official confirmation. And there comes a piece of good news. Marvel exhibited multiple releases at the recent D23 expo held on Saturday. Charlie Cox, one of the most hoped-for returns to MCU was confirmed this Saturday. To add to that a plethora of other developments, including Loki Season 2 and Fantastic Four were confirmed. Now, who’s starring?
D23 Expo Did Not Reveal the Casts for Fantastic Four

Following good news are always the bad ones. The D23 expo saw a bright houseful of the already known Loki S1 cast, but little was revealed about the possibility of other actors. As for Fantastic Four, the cast was not revealed at all. The only thing revealed was Matt Shakman will direct the film, which is pretty much known.
So Is Henry Cavil joining the MCU?
Against such overwhelming odds, it will be difficult for a possessive The Witcher fan to keep Henry Cavil only to one universe. It is likely, given the alarming rise of leaks that Henry Cavil will join the MCU. But whether that happens anytime soon is anybody’s guess until an official confirmation comes from MCU. So no, Henry Cavil is not officially booked for MCU. At least not now. Although it won’t be being too optimistic to hope for it 😉
