We’re less than a month away from finally getting our hands on the Harry Potter open-world RPG that’s become one of Steam’s top-selling games. Since its announcement, many gamers have had high hopes for everything you can get up to in the game aside from finishing the main story quests. One of the most pressing questions in the Hogwarts Legacy community is if it will have a multiplayer mode and if it will be cross-platform. Here is everything we know about whether or not this feature will be available in Hogwarts Legacy. Stay with us!
Is there a multiplayer mode in Hogwarts Legacy? Will it be cross-platform?
With how large-scale the game is gearing up to be, many wizards and witches are looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy. We’ve seen it in other open-world RPGs like GTA and Red Dead Redemption 2. Players can take part in in-game activities with other gamers.
- If we head over to the game’s official website, they explain that the game will not have this feature. According to the devs, “Hogwarts Legacy is a single player experience and does not have online or co-op gameplay.”
- Nonetheless, that doesn’t stop fans from hoping this feature will come out if the game is successful at launch. Despite the devs sounding firm in their decision of not including a multiplayer mode, it’s not written in stone.

- We saw this with Ghost of Tsushima when it was first released. It was meant to be a single-player experience. However, the Legends DLC came out on October 16, 2020. This expansion allowed players to team up and fight against enemies. You can also use different classes in the Legacy DLC for Ghost of Tsushima.
