Gwyneth Paltrow has been facing harsh criticism after she recently shared an unusual wellness tip. On Monday, March 13, The Iron Man actor revealed her wellness and diet regimen in the The Art of Well-Being podcast. During the coourse, she discussed her daily diet, revealing that she eats early in the evening and follows an “intermittent fasting” regimen. She went on to describe her strangest wellness activity is “rectal ozone therapy.”
The podcast received a massively negative response from social media users, with many criticizing Paltrow’s health practices.
One Twitter user said, “It’s so toxic that Gwyneth Paltrow is trying to pass off disordered eating as ‘health and wellness.'”

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals unusual diet regimen, social media users fire severe criticism

Gwyneth Paltrow recently landed in a mess after discussing her contentious wellness and diet regimen on The Art of Well-Being podcast. “I’m really embarrassing myself right here,” the actress said to Dr. Will Cole while administering an IV, “I adore IVs and was an early adopter. They’re hard to come by, and they make me so happy.”
Her recent wellness practice has gone viral as she has been extremely criticized for her unorthodox practice. “Gwyneth Paltrow gets ozone enema,” one user commented. “Okay, that’s enough internet for now.”

According to a second Twitter user, ozone is directly (and indirectly) toxic to all animal cells. As a result, Gwyneth Paltrow’s health advice is hazardous. Another user stated, “Gwyneth Paltrow can have bone broth and rectal ozone therapy for lunch (yes, all true), but I’m having halloumi on toast.”
Paltrow, the Oscar-winning actress, has dabbled in many alternative therapies, but she admits that blowing ozone gas up her rectum is “pretty weird.” She also stated that “it’s been very helpful”.
Many would agree that so-called rectal ozone insufflation therapy is unusual, but few would agree that it is beneficial, at least medically. Several experts responded to the Goop founder’s revelation on Twitter, including Dr. Kaveh Hoda, a gastroenterologist in Northern California and host of the medical podcast House of Pod, who said, “Please don’t get ‘rectal ozone therapy’.”

Not that you would but please don’t get “rectal ozone therapy.”

Meanwhile, the FDA, which has not approved the treatment, issued a warning in 2019 stating that “ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application in specific, or preventive therapy.”
Rectal ozone therapy refers to medical procedures that involve the administration of ozone gas via the rectum. According to the Cleveland Clinic, ozone therapy uses ozone gas to treat wounds, diseases, and pain.
Its use in medical practice has long been regarded as contentious. Some researchers believe the therapy can fight diseases such as cancer and HIV, improve immune system response, and reverse oxygen deficits in the human body.
Paltrow faces extreme judgement for unorthodox diet practice

The podcast received a massively negative response from social media users, with many criticizing Paltrow’s health practices.
Following the conversation, several experts weighed in on Gwyneth Paltrow’s routine and advised netizens to avoid doing the same.
THANK YOU. I have been saying this for years. Gwyneth Paltrow starves herself. That’s why she looks like that. Starving. pic.twitter.com/6rcUyQI8va

Kim Lindsay, an Australian dietician who specializes in disordered eating, described Paltrow’s routine as “concerning” and potentially harmful to her health. “She talks about restrictive dieting practices like intermittent fasting and the paleo diet. This is concerning because we know that dieting is unsustainable for the vast majority of people and can lead to negative health consequences like eating disorders, weight cycling (when your weight fluctuates) and heart disease,” she continued.
As online reactions continue to pour in, it remains to be seen whether Gwyneth Paltrow will address the negative reaction to her health and diet routine in the coming days.
