After hitting his 2,557th career three-pointer just a few hours ago against the New York Knicks, James Harden is just three 3-pointers shy from being the 3rd in All-Time 3-pointers made leaders.
The current number 3 in this list is no other than one of the greatest clutch shooters, Reggie Miller.
The Hall-of-Famer played for Indiana Pacers his whole career.
In his 1,389 games, he made a total of 2560 successful shots behind the arc. Harden is coming in close and may dethrone Reggie Miller in his next game against the Cavaliers. If he does, he will be able to top Reggie in just 925 games. Though, to be fair, Harden also attempted more shots than Reggie.
James Harden, also known as “The Beard”, is one of the most lethal scorers in the modern NBA. His career averages are 25 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 36.2% from the 3-point line.
He is also meshing very well with the Sixers. In just 3 games, he already averages 27.3 points, 12.3 dimes, and 9.0 boards per contest while shooting 59% from the field and 50% from behind the arc. The duo of Embiid and Harden is a very tough matchup to beat. They are arguably the best duo in the league as of today.
Currently, Steph Curry holds the no.1 spot (3093), while Ray Allen comes in second (2973). Harden is only 32 years old and it might not take him long to pass Ray Allen in the record books.
