The tale of Gojo’s survival is hidden in his reverse cursed technique, where he can alter and manipulate the space-time continuum and even alter the effect of curses. This has helped him to reverse the effect of a curse to summon positive energy which has helped him to heal.
Jujutsu Kaisen – Gojo vs Toji rematch according to the manga
Toji gets infuriated at the fact that Gojo was still alive. The Sorcerer Killer dashes towards him but Gojo avoids it and uses his Cursed Technique Reversal: Red. This sends Toji flying into a building, but he shields the blow to avoid getting incinerated. Toji also finds a countermeasure for both the Blue and Red Cursed Technique Reversal. He summons a metal chain and connects it to his Inverted Spear of Heaven.
Toji unleashes powerful attacks at Satoru, forcing the latter higher into the air. He avoids Satoru’s attacks and sends his cursed tool towards him. Finally, Gojo in the sense of an awakened state combines both Red and Blue to create the imaginary mass which erases everything. It has been named the Hollow Technique: Purple, which hits Toji on his left side and brings the Sorcerer Killer to the ground.

- Toji regrets his decision not to run away while he could. He feels that he met his fated end because of his hate against the Jujutsu sorcerers.
