Despite the league’s failure to launch last year, Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid will relaunch the European Super League NEXT WEEK. According to The Mirror (Britain’s largest newspaper circulation), there are talks of a possible relaunch of the European Super League (ESL).
Last April 2021, twelve teams pledged to take part in the league. But Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Atletico Madrid all left the league. It was mainly due to controversies and condemnation from the fans as well as the UEFA.
The only teams left from the original twelve were Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. This infamous trio will form new plans and proposals.
There are rumors that a relegation of teams, which was non-existent in the previous plan, is now a go. This means that this would allow new teams or entities such as Luxembourg and Dublin to be part of the league, instead of just the original twelve founding clubs. The league will showcase these teams for the whole of Europe.

Some report suggests that the new proposal by Juventus’s President, Andrea Agnelli, alongside other executives, will include a more traditional mode of qualification based on clubs’ finishing places in their domestic leagues. All of these proposals will be announced this coming Thursday.
Real Madrid and Barcelona, alongside Juventus, are optimistic that the European Super League will push through. They are positive that the league will shine amidst the controversies it has been receiving.
