[UPDATE] Kena: Bridge of Spirits Delayed To Q4 2021 According To The PlayStation Site

One of the many delights from the PS5 reveal event was Kena: Bridge of Spirits. A new discovery on the PlayStation website mentions the release date as Q4 2021, which could mean the game was quietly delayed. Again.

UPDATE (11/16): Ember Lab responded to our email and clarified that “The Q4 2021 is an error and we are working with Sony to correct it. We are still on track to release Q1 of next year and are very excited!”

“Thank you for the love and support for Kena: Bridge of Spirits. We hope it will be a wonderful game to add to your collection.”

On the Games section of the PlayStation 5’s official page, you’ll find all the popular games for the next-generation console. At the bottom of it is a section called “PlayStation console exclusives” next to the “PS5 console exclusives” section. This is because games like Kena and Stray are coming out both for the PS4 and PS5. In the same section, the release date mentioned for Kena: Bridge of Spirits says Q4 2021 instead of the previously delayed to period of Q1 2021.

If you follow Kena’s official page, however, the release date says “To be confirmed”.

In a post from June, Kena’s Twitter account announced that the game would arrive in Holiday 2020 along with the PS5. Ember Lab delayed the game to Q1 2021 in September. The reason being COVID-19 as with many other games.

Now with two conflicting release dates, Q4 2021, and To be confirmed, we are not so sure about Kena: Bridge of Spirit’s release anymore.

We’ve contacted Ember Lab for a comment regarding this and they were grateful enough to reply to our email.
