The Star Guardian Summer Event is coming to League of Legends tomorrow, July 14. Here are all the details you need to know about the much-awaited event in League of Legends.
What is the Star Guardian Summer Event in League of Legends?
During this event, the Star Guardian skin line is releasing. So expect to see some of the beloved characters in League to get their own Star Guardian skins. Moreover, there will be new cosmetics available for purchase over the course of the summer event. As for the skins, there are 12 new skins available during the event.
To catch us up to speed, the Star Guardian are from an alternate universe and during this event, they are coming to the universe where League of Legends is set in.

According to the official lore of League of Legends, the Star Guardian are only high school students. However, they have been given superpowers so they can protect their homes from outside threats.
However, the Star Guardian concept is not new to League. This year’s summer event is a continuation from where the story ended last time. In the trailer released by Riot, a familiar threat is looming over Valoran City.
The team is led by Kai’Sa and Akali. The event also features a story of friendship, love, and loss as the Star Guardian fight against Zoe.

Star Guardian Skins
As we mentioned, there are 12 skins available in the Star Guardian skin line releasing tomorrow. Keep in mind that the event will cover League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra. So a bunch of characters from the three Riot games are getting skins.

Event-exclusive in-client narrative experience
Aside from new Skins, an in-client narrative experience is also available for Wild Rift players. The narrative experience is called “Star Guardian: Another Sky” where you can play through two campaign stories led by Akali and Kai’Sa.
With this narrative experience, players can catch up to speed with everything that the Star Guardian are taking on. Additionally, players can complete in-game champion missions to “increase your bond” with the Star Guardian.
If you reach a certain level of bond with the Guardians, you’ll get event-exclusive rewards as well as progress through the story of the Star Guardian.
During the event, Riot has also vowed to donate proceeds to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.
The Star Guardian Summer Event goes live tomorrow, July 14, 2022 and ends on August 15, 2022. You can also access an event-exclusive website for Star Guardian here.
