League of Legends World Championship 2018 is Being Broadcasted On JioTV

League of Legends 2018 World Championship

The world championship of the world’s most-played MOBA title, League of Legends, is currently being broadcasted on India’s most popular online TV platform, JioTV.

The JioTV app now has a separate channel called Jio eSports HD, where the League of Legends 2018 World Championship is being broadcasted.

In late September, Anurag Khurana, former Country Manager at Riot Games left his position to join Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited as the Head of eSports. Since then, no prominent information emerged until now.

The League of Legends World Championship has returned for its 8th year with a base prize pool of $2,250,000 (approx. ₹16.5 crores). Over 24 teams played the Group Stages, of which, 8 remained for the final playoffs.

It’s a great initiative and a commendable step towards eSports in India. Also, word.exe.
