After two successful teasers, DontNod published the official reveal trailer for Life is Strange 2 today. The new trailer reveals more character details, hints at the setting, story and more vital information.

The new trailer illustrates the story of two brothers, Sean(elder) and Daniel(younger) and their journey after a massive shootout in South Seattle, footage of which, we saw in the second teaser. The brothers are on a run, trying to escape the cops and reach their family hometown Puerto Lobos, Mexico.

You’ll be playing as Sean, guiding Daniel through the ways and reaching your ultimate goal. Additionally, from what we’ve seen so far and what Square Enix admits to have added, we’ll see a new ability in Life is Strange 2. I’m guessing it to be a kind of thing, that, when you think of something, that actually happens.

If you pay attention to the part where the scene cuts from Sean to the police car turning upside down, it feels like Sean did it, but controlling it through his mind. However, that’s just mere speculation. More details would be out in a week or so.

The earlier trailer was a recorded footage from the inside of police officer Matthews’s patrol car, where things start to get messy. The events hinted in the teaser takes place exactly three years later to the events of the initial game.

Square Enix recently published a spin-off game, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, set in the Life is Strange universe, that follows the story of Chris, a 10-year old who’ll have a major role in the upcoming game.
