LoL Pro Player Dies from Covid-19 Complications

Covid-19 has been spread all over the world, there is probably no country left that is not affected by Covid-19. It is not sparing anyone who comes into his clutches, earlier only aged people were losing their lives but youth is also not safe.

So, here I am with some sad news for the gaming industry, Former Schalke 04 top laner Pavle ‘Yoppa’ Kostić died last Tuesday, Nov. 23, due to COVID complications. I was just shocked when I heard this news, it was unexpected. However, it is not transparent what went wrong with the toplaner’s COVID treatment.

Pavle ‘Yoppa’ Kostić

  • Yoppa was a fantastic gamer, he was the first Serbian player to obtain a first place on the EUW servers Challenger ranking, and one of the first Serbian players to compete in major international teams.
  • He was a pro player of the league of legends since 2016 and he had played for MAD Lions, Vitality, Bee, and Schalke 04.
  • The Serbian player died just days after becoming a free agent and surveying options for the 2022 season.

The Esports Balkan tweeted on his official Twitter account regarding the passing away of Yoppa and everyone, the league, teams, and fellow players have all since expressed their grief and condolences regarding the unexpected passing. Former teammates and coaches such as Self-made, Broken Blade, and Mac shared their experiences with Yoppa and their sadness.

Moreover, Team Vitality and Bee also tweeted on the official Twitter handle and cherished the good memories. We can’t easily forget such a pro-gamer as he will be alive in our memories. Our thoughts and prayers for his loved ones.
