Sony’s Simon Rutter has given an explanation about the game. He says, “I guess you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game. There’s a substantial Miles Morales component – which is the expansion element – but also within the game as well there’s been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PlayStation 5 technology and features.”
Wow, what a presentation! My friends and I were impressed with everything Sony showed. If you watched the show, you’d know Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales was shown very early in the presentation. Now, one question that’s tickling all of us is if the game is a spin-off or a completely standalone game. Well, here are my thoughts.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 isn’t coming for now, as it was already established by Jason Schreier. But Miles Morales was a surprise, even though it wasn’t completely unexpected. While five of my friends and I were watching the stream, we constantly discussed if the game would be a spin-off or a completely standalone game.
For those who haven’t watched the announcement trailer yet, just do it –
From the looks of it, the game looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous. Insomniac, however, is preparing 2 games for the PS5 – Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales. So, it’s very unlikely the latter will be as long as the original Spider-Man PS4 game.
For an average player, Marvel’s Spider-Man was a 20-hour-long game. We’re expecting Miles Morales to be at least one-third of it or half at best. Of course, Sony will release more information about the game very soon, but if we don’t discuss it, where’s the fun?
