NBA 2022 All-Star Weekend: Who’s Most Likely to Win All-Star MVP

The best and the most talented stars of the NBA will face off once again in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

Two captains, Durant and LeBron, together with their team of superstars will battle it out on the floor on Feb.20, 2022. The showcase will be held in Cleveland. While all of these players are extremely talented, some of these guys will shine the brightest. Let’s check and find out who has the best odds to win the All-Star game MVP.

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis is known to be one of the most hardworking athletes in the world. He was LeBron’s first pick due to his talent and work ethic. He won the All-Star game MVP award last season and is likely to do it again. To no surprise, the Greek Freak is once again one of the league’s MVP candidates and is also an All-Star game MVP favorite.

The Bucks’ superstar has an average of 28.8 points per game in all of his all-star games attended, the league’s best all-star game average in history.

2. LeBron James

The King has been an All-Star team captain for five (5) straight years now since the All-Star game format has been changed. He won all of the past five contests, and also won the MVP award in the 2018 All-Star game.

This is already his 18th All-Star selection. LBJ also holds the record for the most points scored in the All-Star game, with 389 points.

Though LeBron played terribly in the previous All-Star game, he looks to redeem his position in this competition. At 37 years old, LeBron is still playing like an MVP. In his past 5 games, he’s been averaging a whopping 29 PPG, 9.6 RPG, and 7.8 APG.

3. Joel Embiid

Jojo is clearly one of the best players today. A skilled center can be a threat at both ends of the floor.

Embiid is an MVP favorite this season. Also, he has great odds of becoming the All-Star game MVP this Sunday. The Sixers’ superstar center is probably playing his best season. His scoring average is 29.6 points per game, the best in the league. If the odds align with JoJo, he’s looking at taking home both the Regular Season MVP and the All-Star game MVP.

4. Luka Doncic

Dallas Maverick’s wonder boy, Luka, is again proving that he’s an MVP caliber of a player. Even though Doncic is an all-star this season, during the all-star voting, he received zero (0) All-Star votes from the media. Zero. Zilch. Nada. As in, nothing.

It was very odd since Luka is a very talented player, and it’s doubtful that the media won’t be able to see that. Since the “0 Media Votes” incident, Luka went berserk and almost had a triple-double average: 35.4 PPG,  9.8 APG, and 10.3 RPG.

Luka Magic is extremely entertaining to watch. A very skilled player who got a lot of tricks hidden up in his sleeve. We’re about to see more of Luka in this coming All-Star game.
