The update patch 1.006.000 for NBA 2K22 has been released by 2K Sports for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. This new update contains many new features, among which is a stability improvement and a key update for the My Career mode.  The notes on the update patch are discussed below.

  • The issue of players being unable to progress in the select My Career storyline has been fixed.
  • Additional improvements on stability as an ongoing effort to improve the gaming experience.
  • Improved loading speed when re-entering the City from the building interior.
  • Improved framerate on Xbox Series X when navigating the City
  • Traditional broadcast cameras will be available for use in MyNBA once again.
  • An issue that resulted in some MyNBA Online saves overwriting other pre-existing saves has been resolved.
  • Players will have to reach greater velocity before falling/jumping into or over the first row of the crowd.
  • DJ Booths will no longer allow for tipping when in the proximity of a quest NPC.

While these improvements include an effort to allow the game to run smoother on the consoles, this is an ongoing effort to improve user experience. The previous few updates contained stability improvements as well. The best part is the almost non-existent loading times.
