NBA: Suns VS Heat, and Who Will Shine the Brightest

Two of the top teams in the league are set to face off on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The No.1 Seeds Showdown will showcase the Phoenix Suns battling the Miami Heat in their home at the FTX Arena in Florida.

While it will be an exciting matchup, the Phoenix Suns will be undermanned due to their top dogs (Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Cam Johnson) being out of rotation.

Paul will not be around for 4-6 weeks due to a thumb injury, while Cam Johnson is out indefinitely due to a quad injury. Devin Booker is also listed out due to health protocols. His return is still yet to be determined.

With their stars missing games, it is now up to Mikal Bridges and DeAndre Ayton to carry the team.

Bridges surprisingly have never missed a game since his college days. He’s been a reliable guy on defense who can also score a bucket here and there. Ayton will become their primary scoring option since both Booker and Paul are out.

The Miami Heat, on the other hand, has some of the most talented guys in the league.

Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry, Caleb Martin, and the All-Star Jimmy Butler. The team has been surprisingly great this season, consistently holding on to the no.1 seed in the tight Eastern Conference.

Additionally, Victor Oladipo is eyeing a possible return with the team after a long hiatus due to injuries.

Phoenix Suns are arguably a better team than the Miami Heat, statistically. They currently have a record of 51-13, while the Heat has 44-22. But, three of the Suns’ top scorers are not playing on Wednesday. This means that the shorthanded Suns will battle a complete and healthy Heat.
