NFL: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers Agrees to a Long-Term Contract

The Green Bay Packers decided to put the Franchise Tag on Rodgers’ close friend Davante Adams last Tuesday. With this move, the Packers and superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers agree to a four-year $200 million deal making him the highest-paid NFL player in history.

“Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I “signed”. I’m very excited to be back.” – Aaron Rodgers tweeted after signing the enormous Green Bay Packers contract.

The 38-year-old has already expressed his desire to continuously play with one of his best friends, Packers wide receiver, Davante Adams. They’re a perfect duo on and off the field and have been an enigma to NFL teams. They have a great connection which makes them a threat each outing.

Teams like the Steelers, Titans and the Broncos were reportedly interested in signing Rodgers before his recent decision. Before this, he was undecided whether to stay, ask a trade, or just retire.

Aaron Rodgers is a legendary quarterback who is already up there with the likes of Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, and more.

Aaron Rodgers, the former league MVP, has been in the league for 17 years. He has been named an MVP three times, as well as having a championship and Super Bowl MVP. In his career, he has thrown for 55,360 yards and 449 touchdowns. The future Fall-of-Famer will continue his playing career with the Packers. He still has 4 years and will probably call it a career in a few years with them, too.

It’s been a long time since the Packers and Rodgers have won the Super Bowl. The last time they held the trophy was back in 2010, against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
