About NHL 23
You may wonder what is it going about but there’s not much information about it yet. However back in April, EA Sports teased something on Twitter about the potential cover athlete showing Auston Matthews. Speculations are saying it’s for the NHL 23 cover, especially with its intriguing caption.
It would be possible if it’s Auston Matthews since he is currently one of the best players in the league. If he is, this is going to be his third time.
When is the possible release date of NHL 23?
Since there are no official announcements yet, let’s take a look at the patterns of the previous release dates of both trailer and game of NHL. Then we base it on the meantime.
- NHL 19 – June 21 and September 14, 2018
- NHL 20 – June 20 and September 13, 2019
- NHL 21 – August 26 and October 13, 2020
- NHL 22 – August 19 and October 15, 2021
- NHL 23 – TBA (To Be Announced)
With these patterns, there is a 2 to 3 months interval between the trailer and the actual release date. While there is about a 9 to 10 months interval between the previous and current NHL season. Due to the pandemic, the interval between NHL 20 and 21 became longer.
Now, NHL 23’s trailer reveal is expected to come out next month in August. Then the actual release date is hopefully going to be around October too. So the wait could be finally going to an end anytime soon.
Where can NHL 23 be played?
Just like in the previous seasons, NHL 23 is also expected to be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox devices.
Unfortunately, it is not going to be available on PC according to EA Sports. The tweet may be from almost 6 years ago but remains true since there are no latest updates or plans for PC devices.
