Nintendo Switch surpassed all previous Nintendo hardware sales records to become the best-selling console in the US for the five-day period from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday.

It surpassed the Wii sales with a +117% change as compared to last year. Consumer spent more than $250 million on Nintendo products this sale season, crowning Nintendo Switch to have a best-selling week in the States.

People weren’t just buying the Nintendo Switch, but also other family systems like the Nintendo 3DS, NES Classic Edition and the Super NES Classic. Both Pokemon Let’s Go games – Pikachu and Eevee have sold over 1.5 million units combined, since their launch on November 16th.

Not just Pokemon, Super Mario Party hit a lifetime milestone of 1 million unit sold to become the fastest selling game in the Mario Party series and the fifth million-selling first-party Switch game in the US alone. Other games in the million-dollar list are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2.

Nintendo Switch has successfully sold over 8.2 million units since its March 2017 launch. Overall, it was an overwhelming sales season for Nintendo and its consumers. Business seems good!
