No Taylor Swift for Thanksgiving? Travis Kelce opens up on solo holiday plans

Taylor Swift Travis Kelce Thanksgiving

There’s no holiday more appropriate than Thanksgiving to bring friends, family and loved ones close. However, it seems like the media’s newest ‘it’ couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be spending the holiday away from each other. Many had expected the pop star and the NFL tight end to celebrate Thanksgiving together as their families are even close now. However, Kelce has revealed his solo holiday plans on a podcast with his brother. Let’s explore this in detail.

Travis Kelce reveals plans for Thanksgiving

In the latest episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast ‘New Heights’, the NFL star opened up about his Thanksgiving plans. While many expected the couple to spend the holiday together, Kelce proved them wrong as he said he will be feasting on KFC alone since he won’t have anybody there.

The reason seems to be that Taylor Swift is busy with her Eras Tour concerts which are currently going on in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Travis Kelce will also have to stay back in Missouri since he might have to prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs’ upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

On the podcast, Travis’ brother and Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce invited him to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving dinner. However, the Chiefs tight end playfully declined his sibling’s tempting offer.

The NFL star’s Christmas plans with Taylor Swift

Despite not spending Thanksgiving together, sources reveal that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are all set to spend the holiday season together. The couple has reportedly coordinated their schedules to maximize time together during Swift’s tour and Kelce’s NFL season.

Sources indicate that Kelce has already started Christmas shopping and is currently preparing special surprises for the singer-songwriter. Recently, he traveled to Argentina for her Eras Tour concert in Buenos Aires and attended it alongside Taylor’s father Scott Swift.

Taylor is also close with the Kelce family as she attended multiple NFL games to support Travis and the Chiefs alongside his mother Donna Kelce. The singer even tweaked the lyrics of her hit song ‘Karma’ to ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’ as a reference to Travis Kelce.

Kelce brothers thank Swifties for holiday song

Travis and Jason also thanked Taylor Swift’s loyal fan base while speaking on the podcast. Swifties played an important role in making their charity single ‘Fairytale of Philadelphia’ climb up to No. 1 on iTunes. The song is a cover of The Pogues’ 1987 track ‘Fairytale of New York’.

The song dropped on November 15 and since then Swifties have been actively working towards making the track a hit just like they do with the rest of their idol’s songs. The proceeds from the single will go to charities from the state like the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
