In Loki Season 2 Episode 6, Loki time-slips to the critical juncture just before Sylvie’s fatal action against He Who Remains. In this encounter, he learns a pivotal truth: the Temporal Loom serves as a fail-safe, designed to preserve the Sacred Timeline by erasing the branching realities, alongside the TVA.
He Who Remains proposes a drastic choice: eliminate Sylvie to preserve the Loom, but Loki vehemently opposes this course of action. Seeking counsel from Mobius and Sylvie across different temporal instances, Loki ultimately takes charge, stepping into Victor Timely’s role to face the Loom.
Tom Hiddleston Discusses Final Scene with Owen Wilson’s Mobius
The final encounter between Loki and Mobius also proved to be an emotional one for Tom Hiddleston, who told Marvel.com that he truly enjoyed filming the scene with Owen Wilson.
“Owen is kind of elevated the whole series, he’s so intelligent and imaginative and witty. Mobius and Loki are kind of an odd couple but, they found a friendship. They make each other better,” Hiddleston said.

Owen Wilson’s performance in the final episode was truly eye-opening and not surprisingly, people were hoping that Marvel will continue to explore Mobius’ story. After all, Mobius’ dynamic with Loki proved to be one of the most intriguing parts of the series and it is believed he is a character who will play well with other Marvel heroes.
Although Loki Season 2 concluded with Mobius and Loki having to part ways, fans believe that they haven’t seen the last of Mobius just yet. There are speculations that Owen Wilson will eventually reprise his role in an upcoming MCU project.
Owen Wilson Possibly Returning In New MCU Project
Loki Season 2 Episode 6 concluded with Mobius leaving the TVA but there are speculations that he will be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed Mobius’ return, fans believe that the former TVA agent’s story is far from over and he will continue to play a major role in the MCU.
For now, Owen Wilson’s return as Mobius has not yet been officially announced. In the meantime, all episodes of Loki are now streaming on Disney+.
