Percy Jackson and the Olympians is all the rave today, as the series’ first two episodes premiere on Disney+. As all eyes are now on its lead star, Percy, the character’s actor, Walker Scobell, made a bold claim about his possible fight against another famous fictional character, Harry Potter. With his ability to control water, start hurricanes, talk to fish, and as an accomplished sword fighter, does this mean he can easily beat The Boy Who Lived?
Walker Scobell Weighs in on Percy Jackson and Harry Potter’s Possible Fight
Just like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on a novel by Rick Riordan. But compared to J.K. Rowling’s world of fantasy and magic, Riordan’s book series is set in the universe of the Greek gods in the 21st century. Here, Percy plays the role of a young demigod who must prevent the Titans from destroying the world.
Alternatively, Harry Potter is prophesied to defeat the Dark Lord. With the big difference between the two characters, who will win in a fight between them?

In an interview with the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast via The Direct, Walker Scobell first revealed that Spider-Man would be an ideal team-up for Percy if given a chance that he could collaborate with any comic book hero.
But if there’s one fight he wants his character to have, it’s with Harry Potter. The 14-year-old is confident that Percy could win over Harry Potter, and it wouldn’t be even called a fight at all.
Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Fight on TV Ratings
Meanwhile, the theoretical fight between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson may soon happen on TV. However, it won’t be a physical brawl but a battle on TV ratings.
A Harry Potter reboot is now in the works at HBO. So, if it coincides with Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ airing, the debate will surely continue.
The first-ever Harry Potter TV show was announced in April 2023 and was said to be coming to Max (formerly HBO Max). Though the network has remained relatively mum about the highly anticipated series, several theories exist on who may play the iconic role in the show.
Fans want to see Ralph Fiennes back to reprise his role as the main antagonist, Lord Voldemort, while others want to see Bill Nighy or Benedict Cumberbatch as the Dark Lord. Some believe Charles Dance could be the perfect Albus Dumbledore, while Nick Frost can portray Rubeus Hagrid.
Fans should take these assumptions with a grain of salt, as HBO hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
Pitting Percy Jackson and Harry Potter against each other is probably unnecessary, as the two characters have distinct powers and abilities. They differ from each other, from their stories to their fights. This may even start a battle between the two fandoms. And though Walker Scobell is confident that his character could defeat The Chosen One, the latter’s fans will surely not approve of it.
