ATLUS reveals that Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable arrive on January 19, 2023, on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It’s better late than never!

Release Date

  • Without further ado, we’ll drop the possible (and confirmed) release date of the card game. In the announcement made by Atlus, it is confirmed that the game is planned to arrive in Q4 of 2023. So we can expect that’s around October to December next year.
  • However, they may have dropped the exact date on their announcement blog. The game arrives on October 21st, 2023, so we’ll have to wait for a year and a week for its arrival!

  • Now let’s move forward to the upcoming Persona 5 Royal card game. ATLUS announces its partnership with Pandasaurus Games to publish the strategic cooperative card game of Persona 5 Royal. Emerson Matsuuchi, the designer of Century: Eastern Wonders and Foundations of Rome, takes on the design role for the upcoming card game.
  • Moreover, Matsuuchi may have said a tease for the gameplay, “Players will take on the roles of their favorite Phantom Thieves and fight to change the world in this cooperative card-based strategy game.

  • As it is a standalone Persona game, although it is coined as a card game, players may be able to explore different places where the game is set. According to the co-owner of Pandasaurus Games, Nathan McNair, “As a diehard fan of Persona 5 Royal® – I cannot wait to bring the Palaces, Velvet Room, and world of Persona 5 Royal® onto tabletops everywhere in 2023.”
