PlayStation Plus: All 50 Games leaving in May 2023

50 Games leaving PlayStation Plus in May 2023

Gamers all over the world are sad as PlayStation Plus bids adieu to a whopping 50 games in May 2023. With a heavy heart, players will have to bid farewell to some of their favorite games, as these games depart from the beloved subscription service. Stay with us to know more about the 50 Games leaving PlayStation Plus in May 2023.

Why are 50 Games being removed by PlayStation Plus?

  • PlayStation Plus constantly expands its game library with new additions every month across its three tiers. However, as with typical subscription services, games may also rotate in and out of the collection.
  • May 2023 sees a significant removal of games from PlayStation Plus: 50 games in total, with 31 from the Extra and Premium tiers, and 19 games from the closing PlayStation Plus Collection offer.

The 31 Extra games, including indies and notable titles like Square Enix games, the first Resident Evil (HD remaster of its 2022 remake), and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Sadly, Marvel’s Spider-Man, a first-party title from Sony, is being removed, which is surprising as it’s the type of game expected to remain on their subscription service indefinitely.

Being a licensed title is likely the reason, but it’s unfortunate. Hopefully, it will make a comeback, along with its PS5 remaster, in anticipation of the sequel.

Below is the list of games from the Extra/Premium tiers that will be departing the service on May 16th:
