PlayStation Won’t Announce Any Hardware This Year At E3

In our earlier post, I mentioned about PlayStation’s prime focus. PlayStation will be focusing primarily on the four big titles – Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden hinted that PlayStation won’t have their traditional press conference this time around. Apart from the four big titles, PlayStation will also focus on third-party and indie games.

GameSpot inquired Shawn if any new hardware announcements will be made at E3 this year, to which he replied, “there will be no new hardware announcements at E3”.

So all the speculations about a new console (the PS5) or upgrades may or may not be positive, but surely not for this year.
