Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Alpha Hisuian Growlithe, How to Get

Hisuian Growlithe is extremely alert, and they are often found in couples patrolling their region. They have apparently been separated from humans for a long time and are unaccustomed to being around people. It takes time to build trust with a Hisuian Growlithe.

Rumor has it that, from February 25 through March 13, a special distribution event for Pokémon Legends: Arceus will reward players a Hisuian Growlithe and 20 Feather Balls.

Its Hisuian form has longer, fuller fur than the Growlithe original form.  Even in the chilly Hisui area, the Pokémon’s silky, heat-retaining fur allows them to flourish. The pointy horn on its head is composed of rock, but it is easily broken, so Hisuian Growlithe only uses it when it is most efficient.

Alpha Hisuian Growlithe

The stats of Hisuian Growlithe and Arcanine are similar to those of the non-Hisuian version. In exchange for their Special Attack and Speed, they earn a little boost in HP and Attack.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus, on the other hand, didn’t just bring regional versions to the franchise. The Hisui region is home to the new Pokémon known as Alpha Pokémon. These are Pokémon who are substantially bigger and have three out of five EVs when they are caught at level three.

Location

Hisuian Growlithe cannot be found unless the Cobalt Coastlands have been unlocked. They’ll need to soothe both the Noble Kleavor and the Noble Lilligant in order to get there. The player’s character will thereafter be dispatched to the Cobalt Coastlands to assist Irida and the Pearl Clan.

**Veilstone Cape and Windbreak Stand are both good places to look for Hisuian Growlithe.

At Veilstone Cape, one Hisuian Growlithe is usually present. Windbreak Stand is on a cliff. This may not be accessed until players have mastered the use of Sneasler to climb walls.

There are more Hisuian Growlithe in Windbreak Stand than at Veilstone Cape, therefore players are more likely to locate an Alpha Growlithe there. If Alpha Growlithe is not present, return to Jubilife Village and then return to the coastlands until Growlithe spawns.

How To Catch

  • Distracting Alpha Pokémon like Growlithe with Berries or its favored food is the quickest approach to catch them. Once a Pokémon has been caught, the Pokédex can be examined to see what food they prefer.
  • When Growlithe is preoccupied, gently approach it (remain low) and catch it with a Heavy Ball or Leaden Ball when it isn’t looking. When Heavy Balls, Leaden Balls, and Gigaton Balls are hurled “at an unsuspecting Pokémon,” they work better.

If Alpha Hisuian Growlithe spots the player, you can either flee with Wyrdeer until you’re out of its line of sight, or you can battle AH Growlithe instead. Due to the fact that most Alpha Pokémon will be at a higher level, battling them can be difficult. Send out the weakest Pokémon in the party first while facing an Alpha Pokémon. When the Alpha Pokémon’s health is in the yellow or red, you may start throwing a Great Ball or Ultra Ball.

How To Evolve

When Hisuian Growlithe is exposed to a Fire Stone, it evolves just like the original Growlithe. Players can either purchase a Fire Stone from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village or smash rocks/crystals surrounding Hisui.
