Trainers must walk up to the Pokémon for battling or catching in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as opposed to using the Random Encounter system. There are common and unusual types of Pokémon, like with any Wild Pokémon. Common Pokémon can be found almost anywhere and can be found quickly. Rare Pokémon, such as Pichu, may only appear at specified times of the day and wander specific areas.
How to Catch Pichu
In the Obsidian Fieldlands, Pichu can spawn in two different locations. To the far right of Aspiration Hill/Fieldlands Camp is where you’ll find it first. Pichu will only appear during the day, which adds to the confusion. Trainers can rewind the clock by talking to the Fieldlands Camp NPC. Start trekking along the river that divides the Obsidian Fieldlands by selecting “Until midday.”

Players will be able to see an area with shallow water and sections of land that can be walked along if they are on the right path. Do not attempt to cross the river. Trainers that do so run the chance of running into an Alpha Snorlax, who will attack right away.
If there are Wurmple crawling around, trainers will know they’re at the right place. Pichu may be seen strolling in the grass if you’re lucky.
- When approaching Pichu, be cautious because it is a fearful Pokémon who will escape if it sees you. Using the Back Strike Technique, try catching it.
- By creeping up on a Pokémon and throwing a Poke Ball at its back, you can use this approach.
- Because the capture rate is lower, the chances of catching using a Poke Ball are substantially better than if you throw it from the front. Trainers can also throw their Pokémon when Pichu’s back is turned, but if they wait too long to weaken it, Pichu will flee.
How to Evolve Pichu
Pichu evolves into Pikachu through companionship, as fans of the series are aware. When Pichu’s friendship reaches a certain level, it will develop into Pikachu. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, trainers can check their Friendship Level by chatting to Bellamy beside the Pastures in Jubilife Village.
Before Bellamy can check Friendship Levels, the mission “The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods” must be finished and the mission “Arezu’s Predicament” must be accepted.
