Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Porygon2 & Porygon-Z, How to Get

Trading Porygon, while it was holding an Upgrade was the initial means of obtaining Porygon2. Trainers must then have their Porygon2 hold a Dubious Disc and trade it again in order to obtain Porygon-Z.

By removing the requirement for trading in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Porygon evolution line is simplified.

Porygon and its evolutions are unfortunately difficult to find in Hisui. Before meeting Porygon, players must have progressed far enough in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. They’ll need two evolution items to get Porygon2 and Porygon-Z, which may be bought in-game or dropped by Porygons. Before Jumping on How to get Porygon2 and Porygon-Z, let’s compare these 2 Pokémons first.

Porygon-Z

  • Porygon-Z has a physical body, despite being a virtual, man-made Pokémon. It has a fuchsia head with an oval form, a short, pointy antenna sticking upwards, and a blue bill like a duck. It has golden eyes with black rings around them, similar to a bulls-eye.
  • The head hangs slightly above the body, completely disconnected from it. It has a fuchsia smooth, circular body with a blue ring connecting its limbs. Two arms are loosely linked to their upper torso and have no traits other than their blue color. The tail is equally blue and plain, although it has a paddle-like shape.
  • Porygon-Z has received additional software in order to improve its abilities. The original plan was for it to be able to travel to extraterrestrial realms, but that never materialized. Instead, the Pokémon began to act strangely and unpredictably, with twitching motions, making exploration impossible.
  • As a result, the Porygon-Z experiment is deemed to have failed. This has been due to the engineer’s carelessness in modifying the programming in an incorrect manner. Because of the instability caused by the update, scholars can’t seem to agree on whether Porygon-Z is a true Evolution of Porygon2.

Porygon2

  • Porygon2 is a digital Pokémon that resembles a drinking bird and is spherical and pink. It has wide, round eyes and a relatively flat bill. It has simple conical growths along the sides of its body, and its tail widens towards the midsection. Blue is the color of its bill, legs, tail, and underbelly.
  • Porygon2 evolved from Porygon as a result of the most cutting-edge technology available. For reasons of planetary development, it was improved to work in space, however, its inability to fly restricts its potential. It is artificially intelligent and capable of self-learning new behaviors, including information that it does not need.
  • Porygon2 can also communicate in a weird language that only it can comprehend. It will occasionally conduct actions or skills that are not programmed into its system. It can survive in a vacuum in space, but it struggles to move in zero gravity. The only Pokémon are known to learn Conversion and Conversion 2 is Porygon2 and its evolutionary family, Porygon and Porygon-Z.

How to Catch Porygon

After fighting Kleavor, Hisui will be surrounded by strange dimensions known as space-time distortions. The space-time distortion may take some time to fully emerge. When it does, a notification will pop up that reads, “A space-time distortion appeared!”

Porygon and its evolutions will appear in the Crimson Mirelands’ space-time distortions. Porygon, like all other Pokémon in the wild, is hostile and will attack as soon as it spots the trainer. Send out a Pokémon to battle it, or stun it with Mud Balls and Spoiled Apricorns.

How to Evolve

Porygon still requires the Upgrade and the Dubious Disc to evolve. However, because Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can’t carry items, evolutionary thingies like the Upgrade/Dubious Disc function as evolution stones. Use Porygon’s Upgrade to get Porygon2. Then use the Dubious Disc on Porygon2 to get Porygon-Z.

  • The Upgrade can be purchased from the Ginko Guild, however, the goods are random. Spending 1000 MP at the Trading Post at Jubilife Village’s Galaxy Hall is a more guaranteed approach to get the Upgrade. The Dubious Disc can also be found at the Trading Post for 1400 MP.
  • It is advised that you aim to raise Porygon’s Research Level to 10 before evolving it into Porygon2. Trainers should approach Porygon2 in the same way. It will be time to evolve it into Porygon-Z once players have completed enough research tasks.
