Pokemon Legends: Arceus – Update 1.0.2 Patch Notes

Since its release, there have been very few issues with Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Update 1.0.2 is a small patch that aims to continue to fix bugs found by players as they progress through the game. You may not even have noticed the patch, as it only took around 30 seconds for it to download on Nintendo Switch. These are the small quality of life improvements, and there weren’t any new gameplay additions.

One of the most significant changes of the patch is a bug fix that made it difficult to catch the Pokemon Cherrim. Many players had difficulty finding and getting it while working on Request 17: To Bloom or Not to Bloom.

Another fix was a bug where players would stop obtaining certain Pokemon. It happens after the game registers to catch a species twice in one go. It’s a game-breaking bug that the developers have now addressed.

The patch also fixes game freezes, where players could not progress after an event. However, they did not detail which missions were causing the issue. There was also a bug fix for a freezing issue occurring with the Lost Satchel.

The game is relatively new, and a sudden addition to gameplay would be surprising.

  • Pokemon Legends: Arceus has been received well by the community. Some are calling it the game that could change all future Pokemon releases.
  • If you’re having issues getting the patch, apply a Software update on the main screen. The game should be closed first before pressing the + button to bring up the menu.
