There’s nothing more baffling than having completed Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and then sitting with not much to do. Of course, you might still be battling the eight gym members again, earning your way through the 6-star Tera Raids. But there’s something about Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLCs and waiting for them. Are we getting a new legendary Pokemon?
Are Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLCs officially confirmed?
As it stands Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have not confirmed any official DLCs yet. What we are referring to here are purely rumors, and fans’ ambitious (and forlorn) hopes. We do have some ground to establish why the next DLCs could potentially introduce new legendary Pokemons, however.
Picking up from the past
The first sight of reasoning is to look at how long Pokemon Sword & Shield had to wait before it got its DLCs. Which was a year after its release. And although no official confirmation is there yet, we do sense a hint of things within the game’s context.
These feel like to us very carefully planted hidden gems lying to be uncovered, possibly via future DLCs? What are they?
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Legendary Pokemon Hint
To find this teaser or possible future telling by the developers, head to Academy. Head to the reception area and check the Scarlet or Violet book (Depending upon your game version). This book provides, in the get-go, some additional lores to back up the plot. It also features the Great Crater of Paldea, or Area Zero. But then there’s this one section that calls “An Imagined Pokemon“.
A Legendary Beast that is a combination of Suicune, Entei, and Raikou?
What are these? The Scarlet book shows what looks like a drawing of some Pokemon. And what’s more, pro-Pokemon lovers will recall that the Pokemon looks like Suicune, Entei, and Raikou from Pokemon Gold & Silver. Ones that you also encountered again in Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red.
A Legendary Beast that is a combination of Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion?
If you’re playing Violet, and select the Violetbook – you see the drawing of a Pokemon that looks like a mix of Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion.
A possible genetic mutation like Mew and Mewtwo might be brewing
Now here’s the catch – the descriptions of the sketch refer to them as the artists’ inspiration for the Pokemon that reside in the lowest reaches of Area Zero. As such, it is entirely likely that whatever mystical thing is happening at Area Zero will be behind this.
One possibility that hits our minds is that the sketches might be sketches of a mutation made using the genes of three beasts into one Pokemon. This isn’t anything unworldly, as we have already seen with the Mewtwo being born out of the Mew scenario in the past.
A third legendary Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet
But where it gets weird is this third picture. This picture shows some form of eggshell with a crown-like structure.
“While separated from the research team in the crater’s depths, I found a strange entity. It bore a shell with layers of overlapping hexagons and gleamed brighter still than a gemstone. Viewed as a whole, it resembled a mysterious, brilliant disk.”
Some seem to recall this to be similar to the time machine that appears in Area Zero. This could also indicate an eggshell, out of which some galactic Legendary Pokemon will be born.
This all is coupled with the fact that when players catch all 400 Pokemon and complete their Pokedex, they receive a beast ball. The beast ball makes no sense otherwise, for there is no Beast Pokemon to catch in the entire region.
