Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 coming soon – What’s new + Expected release date

Is anyone a fan here of horror movies and games? If you haven’t tried playing Poppy Playtime, you might be missing one of the most loved horror games up to date. Recently, Mob Entertainment released another Poppy Playtime game — PROJECT: Playtime which requires players to survive a 6 versus 1 match. Now, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 may have found the light as it’s said to be coming soon — what’s new, and its expected release date then? Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming installment!

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 release date

Alright, to start this one, let’s take a look back at the previous Poppy Playtime games. Chapter 1 of Poppy Playtime became available for Windows PC on October 2021. Moreover, it became playable on iOS and Android devices in March 2022.

  • Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 got to fans in May 2022. Now, when do you think would Chapter 3 drop? On August 6, 2022, Mob Entertainment released a teaser for the upcoming Chapter 3 of the indie horror game. Fans ask for more from the developers, same though, we need more!
  • And just like a heard request, yesterday, Poppy Playtime News (@NewsPlaytime) on Twitter revealed a possible release of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3. The expected release date is between March to April 2023. Check out the Tweet below for reference!

  • In case you missed this, that should be the latest news circulating on the social media application. Where did they get this information? An admin of @NewsPlaytime replied to a fan that the predicted release came from a developer on a podcast.

  • Furthermore, it debunks their earlier news on Valentine’s Day that Chapter 3 arrives this month. The possible drop for this month should be a trailer or game posters.
  • If it certainly comes out in March or April, it makes sense that their earlier announcement was an early 2023 release. We can expect this release date to be true if we get a trailer, or at least any news this February.

  • None of this is confirmed yet by the developers, so we have to wait for their announcement. Well, it wouldn’t hurt us to believe that Chapter 3 is coming soon, right?

Chapter 3 plot

While we wait for news and announcements from Mob Entertainment, we should talk about the existing information released. If you finished Chapter 2, you know that the next chapter would continue at Playcare.

  • The Player crashes the train near Playcare, and pretty sure a new adventure awaits there. The Playcare was first seen in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. Significantly, the new location can be seen in the teaser trailer of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3.

More about Mob

Mob Entertainment currently has three indie horror games based on the Poppy Playtime series. Recently, they created a new website which probably means that a new era should be coming soon.
