Poppy Playtime has been known to release ads for their merchandise in weird and unsettling ways. The ads uploaded by Mob Entertainment usually promote stuff like school bags and plushies. However, the Huggy Wuggy cereal inspired by the first villain in Poppy Playtime takes the cake for being the most unsettling ad in our opinion. Just exactly what is the Huggy Wuggy cereal and is it real Poppy Playtime merchandise? Let’s find out!
Mob Entertainment just released an ad for a Huggy Wuggy cereal
The creators behind Poppy Playtime just dropped a quick ad showcasing a ‘new’ product called Huggy Wuggy cereal. At first glance, nothing looks out of the ordinary. However, the narrator mentions that the cereal is made out of “real Huggy Wuggy fur”.
- Upon closer inspection, we see that the cereal isn’t the usual cereal we’re all used to. It’s actually made out of Huggy Wuggy’s fur, the blue color being a dead giveaway already.
- Although the video goes on for only 16 seconds, it’s enough to send chills down our spines because of how creepy and unsettling it is. Just imagining Huggy Wuggy getting shaved down to make this cereal is enough to make us feel sick! š¤¢
- Another important detail you may have missed is the fact that Mommy Long Legs is on the cover of the milk carton. It has us thinking whether this is just a joke or if there’s something more to it.
- At the end of Chapter 2, we see Mommy Long Legs being dragged away by something. Although it’s unlikely both Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs were turned into breakfast essentials, it’s still creepy to think about what The Prototype has done to them.

Huggy Wuggy cereal is just an April Fools’ Day joke from the creators of Poppy Playtime
One might think that Mob Entertainment was serious about the Huggy Wuggy cereal. Nevertheless, we took a look at the date when the video was posted. Similar to other brands, Mob Entertainment released the ad for the Huggy Wuggy cereal on April 1, the day when you can’t really trust anyone or anything.
Thankfully, Huggy Wuggy’s fur being turned into a cereal is all a prank. Also, Mommy Long Legs having her own milk line isn’t official merch from the video game.
- Last March 30, the official Twitter account of Mob Entertainment posted two images with Huggy Wuggy and a pair of scissors beside him.
- In the first image, the Huggy Wuggy plush is lying down on the surface of a whiteboard. Beside him, we can see a pair of scissors that seems like it’s ready to do something to the plush.
- We can see the words “HUGGY’S PROCEDURE” above the plush.
- In the second image, Huggy Wuggy looks less fluffy and hairy. We can immediately tell that the scissors were used to cut off Huggy Wuggy’s fur. Above his head, there are also clumps of his blue fur.
- Since the Huggy Wuggy cereal is apparently made from his fur, then it’s obvious the devs are sending a message. This is what Huggy’s Procedure meant in the image.

Is all of this connected to Poppy Playtime Chapter 3?
From the looks of it, there are no hints as to whether the Huggy Wuggy cereal ad is connected to Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. All it looks like is it’s a harmless joke from the creators to celebrate April Fools’ Day. Despite the ad being a bit disgusting and unsettling, the face of the man at the end of the video says it all: viewers shouldn’t take it seriously.
The main joke, aside from the Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs breakfast, is that they put the milk firstĀ beforeĀ the cereal. I mean, we all know there is an unspoken rule that cereal comes first before the milk!
Besides, Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 is scheduled to release sometime this year. Hopefully, we’ll finally get a release date in the coming months since a lot of us are just dying to know what sort of threat we’ll be facing next in the Playtime Co. Toy Factory.
