Mob Entertainment is testing the limits with PROJECT: Playtime, as this is their first co-op game based on the hit title Poppy Playtime. It will follow the same gameplay mechanics as other games like Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th. This means that players can either take on the Survivors or Killers in PROJECT: Playtime. However, Killers in Mob Entertainment’s upcoming co-op title are called Monsters, and yes, you guessed it right.

  • These Monsters take the form of popular villains in the series: Mommy Long Legs and Huggy Wuggy. A toy called Boxy Boo will also be introduced in PROJECT: Playtime. According to Mob Entertainment, it will still follow a story connected to the main Poppy Playtime games

  • Each match or game in PROJECT: Playtime can host up to seven players. Most of these players take on the role of the Survivors, while a lone player is a Monster. Like Among Us, the Survivors need to carry out tasks to collect giant toy parts scattered in the Playtime Co. Toy Factory. As for the player who takes on the role of the Monster, they must stop the Survivor at all costs

How to win in the game

If you’re wondering how players can win in PROJECT: Playtime, the winning conditions depend on which role you’re playing as.

Winning conditions for Survivors

Survivors are also called Resource Extraction Specialists in PROJECT: Playtime. As a unit, you must extract or retrieve giant toy parts hidden away in the Playtime Co. Toy Factory. At the start of the game, you are given a GrabPack similar to the one our character uses in Poppy Playtime. This is mainly your weapon against the Monster that stalks and tries to stop you from achieving your goal in Playtime Co. Toy Factory.

To win as a Survivor in PROJECT: Playtime, here are the things you need to do:

  • Solve puzzles and complete tasks to retrieve the giant toy parts hidden away in the factory. While doing so, the Monster will do everything possible to sabotage your plans and kill you
  • Since there are six of you and only Monster, you won’t be able to attack the killer toy directly. All you can do is outrun them while focusing on building the giant toy that will most likely wipe out the dangers lurking in the factory

  • Survivors will have different Perks and abilities. These can be purchased and upgraded through the use of Toy Tickets. Contrary to popular belief, this won’t be pay-to-win as Toy Tickets are earned simply by playing PROJECT: Playtime. There are different Perks available for players to enjoy. According to the game’s official Steam page, here are some of the abilities for Survivors:
    • Shadow Walker
    • Medic
    • Puzzle Master
    • Speed Demon
  • Survivors win PROJECT: Playtime if they successfully build the giant toy and defeat the Monsters lurking deep within

Winning conditions for Monsters

The player who gets the role of the Monster only has one goal in mind: to kill the Survivors. Although it sounds simple, the challenge lies in taking out all six Survivors. Chances are they have a game plan to outsmart you and any tricks you have up your sleeves.

  • In PROJECT: Playtime, the current roster for Monsters are Mommy Long Legs, Huggy Wuggy, and Boxy Boo. Each Monster has its own sets of abilities and playstyles.
    • Huggy Wuggy is described as a ‘manic brute’. As for Mommy Long Legs, her entire figure makes it possible for her to be nimble and fast. Finally, Boxy Boo makes use of its springs to take down the Survivors

  • They must chase down the Survivors and kill them before they can build the giant toy. However, Survivors can use different items in the toy factory to stop or throw the Monster off their scent
  • Like the Survivors, players can purchase and upgrade Perks for their Monsters. You also have Sabotages that will be helpful when chasing down the Survivors in the toy factory. With these Sabotages, you can do things like destroy their GrabPacks and place traps everywhere to prevent them from succeeding in their goal
  • Monsters win in PROJECT: Playtime as long as they take out the Survivors and stop their plans to build the giant toy
